The MYVP II program supports project interventions tailored to at-risk racial and ethnic minority and/or disadvantaged at-risk youth (ages 12-18 at the beginning of the project). These projects require coordinated, multi-discipline approaches that address: public health, education, and public safety concerns; disparities in access to public health services; social determinants of health; and risk and protective factors. MYVP II builds upon lessons learned from MYVP grants originally funded in FY 2014 and is intended to identify innovative approaches to significantly reduce the prevalence and impact of youth violence among racial and ethnic minority and/or disadvantaged at-risk youth.
