HIV/AIDS and Native Hawaiians/Other Pacific Islanders

  • In 2022, non-Hispanic Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders were nearly three times more likely to be diagnosed with HIV infection than non-Hispanic whites.1
  • From the beginning of the epidemic through 2022, non-Hispanic Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders account for less than 1% of classifications of persons with Stage 3 (AIDS).2
