National Hispanic Heritage Month Toolkit

September 15 – October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month! During this annual observance, we celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic/Latino communities across the United States. It is also a moment to recognize the importance of supporting healthy communities by promoting prevention and access to trusted health information for everyone.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) is committed to enhancing the well-being of racial and ethnic minority populations and American Indians/Alaska Natives by prioritizing chronic disease prevention and supporting the Administration’s mission to Make America Healthy Again. During National Hispanic Heritage Month, HHS OMH encourages Hispanic/Latino communities to continue to prioritize their health by implementing healthy lifestyle choices like eating real, whole foods, getting enough sleep, and staying physically active to prevent serious chronic health conditions.
